Thousands of travellers suffer across Asia today as 2,687 delays and 54 cancellations were recorded across eleven major Asian airports. The most operationally impacted airlines by volume included AirAsia (329 delays at Kuala Lumpur), Singapore Airlines (110 delays at Singapore Changi), Malaysia Airlines (160 delays at Kuala Lumpur), Japan Airlines (84 delays at Tokyo Haneda; 19 at Fukuoka), All Nippon (70 delays at Tokyo Haneda; 13 at Fukuoka), China Airlines (47 delays at Taiwan Taoyuan), EVA Air (45 delays at Taiwan Taoyuan), Lion Air (42 delays at Jakarta; 50 at Sultan Hasanuddin), and IndiGo (126 delays, 2 cancellations at Mumbai; 87 delays, 2 cancellations at Delhi; 55 delays at Bengaluru).Airlines with concentrated cancellations included Batik Air (23 cancellations, 36 delays at Jakarta; 9 cancellations, 17 delays at Sultan Hasanuddin), Iran National Airlines Corp. Recorded 754 delays, the highest among all airports, with no cancellations. AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines accounted for the majority of disruption.
